Learn to know the food and life in Peipsimaa.

We are offering you an oppurtunity to spend some days near Peipsi and learn to know this special part of Estonia. We'll company you and show you how to serve Peipsimaa dishes, we'll go sightseeing and attend workshops. We are expecting fellowships, who enjoy unic nature and respect natural ways of living. This themepacket is ment for hobbyists, who are keen on learning the secrets of Old Belivers kitchen. You have the oppurtunity to wonder around our beautiful nature, in winters time you can practice ice fishing on Peipsi. Rods and other nessecary means are supplied by us.

FIRST DAY

• Arriving at Nina Kordon guesthouse.
• Acquainting with the surroundings
• Preparing supper together
• Preparing supper from local products, learning to prepare local dishes:
• Casserole
• Mushroom-onion pie
• Brown sugar
• Thickened cranberry juice with cream

SECOND DAY

• Breakfast: buckwheat pancakes
• At the same time we'll be baking pies for our picnicbasket.
• A tour to meet the locals and their life.
• Visit to the Alatskivi Castle
• Workshop at Peipsimaa visiting center. We'll practice the technique  of stomp printing, while we print a bag for ourselves. While working, we can enjoy tea from a samovar and eat those tasty snacks we made in the morning.
• Back to the guesthouse
• Preparing the supper:
• Stewed sauerkraut soup
• Stewed Pepsimaa pike
• Vinaigrette sauce
• Berry pie

THIRD DAY

• Breakfast
• Opportunityto ask about dishes that we prepared
• Recipies and additional suggestions for the dishes
• Preparing for departure

Themepacket consists of:

• Accommodation in the hotel for two nights
• Usage of the sauna on two evenings
• Preparing meals with a tutor
• Five meals prepared by the guests themselves
• Recipes of the prepared meals
• Visit to the Alatskivi Castle
• Visit to the workshop at Peipsimaa visiting center
• Visit to the Kolkja museum
• Opportunity to play pool, board games, etc.

We have a great variety of recipies, we can compile a menu suiting your preferences (given menu is only an example)


The cost of this themepacket is  130 EURO per person.
Group prices apply to at least 6 persons.

ROMANTIC EVENING FOR TWO

Come and enjoy an intimate evening in our guesthouse, we offer You an excellent opportunity to enjoy each others company in a lovely room, in sauna or even by the firelight.

In a room You'll find a bottle of cold champagne and snacks waiting for You. If You wish, You can also use our sauna. As an extra, You can order a relaxing massage (1,5-2 hours).

Dinner for only You two (different meals):

• roasted pork
• red or white fish
• chateaubriand
• roasted chicken with:
  • stewed vegetables with butter
  • rice
  • mashed potatoes, etc (as agreed)
• Dessert

If You wish, we can also prepare the ethnic dishes of Peipsimaa.
